Q. If you should describe your photography as only 3 keywords, what would you do?
People, Waiting, Exploring.
There are a lot of interesting and beautiful people around me, and I want to save a little piece of each of them. And I can do it with photography. I really love to wait for something, and I'm taking pictures on film cameras, and the time after roll is finished and before i am about to get the scans, it is so fascinating. Exploring is very important for me. Even if, due to work or some other reasons, I can’t leave my home city and travel to some places in Ukraine or abroad, I can still grab my bike and ride somewhere to find beautiful abandoned places.
Q. If there are the reasons why we should take a photograph while we live, what do you say?
I always say to my friends who doesn’t take pictures, "Hey! Take my camera! Just try it! I’m sure you are a good photographer!", I don’t know why I’m doing this. I think all people look at things differently, even if they are not aware of this. And it is very interesting to know what do they actually see.
What is the most impressive quotation on photography?
"Photography is designed to collect light." by Wolfgang Tillmans.
